[Picture Love] Jacob & Katie Engaged!!

Hello my friends! It's been a little bit since I have blogged, so I apologize! I have been busy with weddings, my day job, and school. I am kicking my editing butt into gear and there will be a ton of new content coming your way! Starting with this amazing session! 

Katie has been my best friend since we were 7. I remember the exact moment we met and have countless wonderful memories with her by my side. Last year Katie stood with me on my wedding day and I am so thrilled to stand with her on her wedding day in June! She deserves all the Love in the world and I believe she has found that in her prince charming, Jacob. 
These two are BIG Disney fans and when Katie approached me to take their engagement photos at the happiest place on earth, I was ecstatic! This was my first, and hopefully not last, engagement session at Disneyland and it was so much fun! These two are natural in front of the camera which made my job so easy! Their wedding theme is Tiki, as in the Tiki Room, which made for some Dole Whip indulgence and fun photos. I could go on and on about this session and this beautiful couple but instead I'll let you enjoy the photos.

[Picture Life] Sara Christine at 4 months old!

Hey everyone! Thank you for checking out my blog. I apologize for being MIA lately. I was out of the country for a couple weeks early summer filming a couple documentaries and have been working at my normal 9-5 desk job a lot so I haven't had many photo or video shoots recently. I am pleased to share these photos of this adorable 4 month old, Sara Christine! 

Ericka is a co-worker of mine and when she went on leave of absence to have Sara, we decided that once she was born I would take some photos of her. I went to her home on Sunday, August 16th, and was greeted by her family. Ericka shares a home with her honey, her parents, and there were cousins and nieces all around, showering miss Sara with Love. It was such a joy to be around their family and capture the cuteness that is Sara. Without further ado, enjoy these photos!

Melanie de Arakal - Class of 2015!

Melanie is a great friend from my college: Chapman University. Her and I met in Broadcast News class right after we both transferred and teamed up on all our projects. Mel is a pro in front of the camera while I was better behind the camera, so we made a great team! She introduced me to Sherlock Holmes (the Benedict Cumberbatch tv show), and we bond over nerd stuff like Zelda and Star Wars. She's one of my favorite redheads and I was honored to be asked to take her senior portraits this year. This girl is going to go far in the PR world and I am very proud of her for finishing her degree! This girl can definitely rock a sequin dress, by the way. Am I right?

[Picture Life] Hopeful Pop

Andrea is one of the worship leaders at my church, Inland Hills Church, and a solo artist known as Hopeful Pop. Since I've known her (8 months or so) she has always exuded joy and has a positive presence about her that you can't help but want to be around her! 

She asked me to take some updated head shots of her and I am quite pleased with how they turned out! Isn't she gorgeous? She is also quite talented!

Bird & The War Website

This past week my husband, Chris, has been prepping for his second show of the year with his band, Bird & The War. They are releasing their first EP next month and there was a lot of preparation. I am really proud of how hard he works to pursue his passion of music. While he was training the new guitarist, putting the EP on iTunes, and writing up content, I put together a slick new website for them! Elodie (Rhymes with Melody) turned 1 recently and I was thrilled to take some lifestyle photos for this family. Heather and I were part of the same roller derby league before I broke my leg and before she became a mom. She fit into the mom role quite nicely and her little bundle of joy is too precious for words so let me show you some photos!

Please enjoy these photos from my recent lifestyle newborn shoot with the family from my last blog post! I would like to introduce you to Baby F. He was such a doll. Although he didn't sleep for too long at once, his parents raved at how great he was at being a baby thus far (6 days in). "He sleeps, he eats, and he poops," said his father, "He's pretty different then B." B refers to Baby F's older sister. It was a joy to spend some more time with this family and see their love for one another pour out in photographs and just witnessing them at home.
